Authored by Sarel van Vuuren

Mx User's guide

Abstract

Mx is a math package designed to facilitate fast and easy manipulation of matrices. Designed for the Tcl environment it provides the flexibility of a script language (with execution speed about 1.6 times that of dedicated C-code. Powerful features of Mx include associative indexing and list processing which it inherits from the Tcl environment as well as extensibility through an API and ability to explicitly reuse memory. Mx is now being used at the Center for Spoken Language Understanding for research.
