RAD Object Guide
A good understanding of the objects available to you in RAD will help you to build succinct
and efficient applications. Many objects simply encapsulate tasks that could be performed
with a several other objects. Listed below are all of the objects currently available in
RAD, with some information on their uses.
Each objects has a series of configuration tabs associated with it. Depending on the object,
different tabs will be available. The object tab reference
guide explains the available options, which are similar to those available in the global
preferences dialogue.
Base Objects
The basic objects that ship as part of the CSLU Toolkit. These are the longest-standing parts
of RAD, and can all be used in telephony applications.
Tucker-Maxon Objects
These objects are part of the Tucker-Maxon plugin. They were developed for use in the classroom,
and enable some multimedia applications.
PSL Objects
Developed by our partners at PSL, these are a set of objects for conducting experiments within
RAD.
