Mexican Spanish Toolkit

Between 1996 and 1998, researchers at the Center for Spoken Language Understanding (CSLU) at the Oregon Graduate Institute (OGI) and researchers from the Tlatoa group at the Universidad de las Americas-Puebla (UDLA) collaborated to develop a Spanish version of the CSLU Toolkit. The research was sponsored jointly by NSF (NSF IRI 9614217) and CONACyT. Here is a report describing the first results of this collaboration.

CSLU and TLATOA plan to continue the collaborative work advancing the Toolkit in both languages. Inspired by the success of this project, CSLU plans to begin collaborative work with research centers in other countries to develop more versions of the Toolkit.
