Spoken Language System componentsCSLU builds entire systems, but also can create or enhance components of and add-ons to pre-existing systems. For example, we work on speech enhancement technologies that serve as pre-processor for speech recognizers, e-mail pre-processors that allow speech synthesizers to process email, modules that interpret VoiceXML and produce enhanced naturalness of synthetic speech, as well as components that are part of a system such as timing, intonation, and signal processing components of synthesizers. |
